Hair Compass AI helps users track hair, scalp, routine, photo, lab, trigger, and procedure information for personal monitoring and clinician discussion support.

Information we collect

Depending on which features you use, Hair Compass AI may collect or store:

• Profile details you enter, such as hair goals, scalp sensitivity, and hair-loss context
• Hair and scalp check-in entries
• Routine, medication, supplement, procedure, lab, and trigger logs
• Photos you choose to capture or import
• Subscription and purchase status
• Optional Health data, including sleep, mindful sessions, heart-rate variability, resting heart rate, body mass, body mass index, and dietary protein

Health data

If you grant permission, Hair Compass AI reads selected HealthKit data from Apple Health. This data is used only to display health-related context inside the app and compare it with your tracking history. Hair Compass AI does not write health data back to Apple Health.

Photos and camera

If you grant permission, Hair Compass AI can use the camera and photo library to capture, import, store, and display standardized scalp and hair images for progress tracking and comparison.

AI features

Hair Compass AI's optional AI features — the hair chat, daily insights, deep analysis, and ingredient identification — run entirely on your device using Apple Intelligence and on-device text recognition. No logs, photos, lab entries, profile details, or other content are sent to any server or third-party AI provider. Everything stays on your device. These features are optional and are not intended to provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Subscriptions

Hair Compass AI offers optional premium subscriptions to unlock advanced features such as analysis and export tools. Purchase processing is handled by Apple through StoreKit. We do not receive your full payment card information.

How we use information

• Provide tracking and logging features
• Support progress review and comparisons
• Generate optional AI-powered summaries when requested, processed entirely on your device

Data sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Your tracking data, photos, and Health data never leave your device. The only information shared is with Apple to process an optional subscription through StoreKit, and, if you tap an affiliate link, the standard web request your browser makes to open that link.

• Avoid using AI-powered features
• Choose not to use affiliate links
• Manage or cancel subscriptions through Apple
